Three kinds of pudding to treat yourself, without having to eat a big amount of sugar and fat: (1) poudings chômeurs (puddings baked in a tasty sauce): 6 recipes - one basic and five variants;
(2) fruit puddings: 7 recipes - seven fruits and seven cake batters, which you can mix and match

Literally, pouding chômeur means pudding for the unemployed (this is a French Canadian term). My version of this dessert has much less sugar and fat than the original version. But it is equally delicious, in my opinion. My fruit puddings and milk puddings recipes reflect the same considerations regarding sugar and fat.
This Daily Cooking - Puddings book has tricks and tips about ingredients, preparation, cooking and preserving (as well as many pictures!). The lists of ingredients are short and only one bowl is used to make the batter, whether it is for the pouding chômeur or the fruit pudding (technique demonstrated with pictures), ensuring that the recipes are fast to make, easy and economical. As for the milk puddings, everything is done in one cauldron (also demonstrated with pictures). Nutritional information is given for each recipe (energy, protein, carbohydrates, fat, iron and sodium).
